Walter Pellowe (1675-) was the British harbormaster of Port Royal, Jamaica during the 1720s. In 1728, he stopped the new arrival Jack Sparrow at the docks and demanded a shilling from him to dock his boat at the docks, but Sparrow - who was a pirate - instead offered Pellowe three shillings in exchange for Pellowe "forgetting" his name. Pellowe decided to accept the bribe and then welcomed "Mr. Smith" to Port Royal.
