Walter "Pops" Holland (1912-) was an associate of the Marcano crime family under Frank Pagani.
Biography[]
Walter Holland was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and he became a smuggler in Tickfaw Harbor during the 1960s; Holland would often jokingly claim that he was a descendant of the pirate Blackbeard. Holland became an associate of Marcano crime family made man Frank Pagani, as did his son Jack Holland. Holland made money by smuggling expensive cars and other goods into Cuba, and he was known to have dealings with the communist government of Fidel Castro; while he hated the communists, he believed that their money was still good. In 1968, Lincoln Clay came after the Holland family, forcing Jack Holland to work for him first. Clay proceeded to steal Holland's smuggling money, kill his enforcers, and kill his airdrop operations chief Butterbean, and he headed to his freight office and confronted him there. He interrupted Holland's conversation with another man in his office by knifing the other man to death, and he forced Holland to work for him.
