Walter Breachway was the president of the Colorado Springs, Colorado chapter of the Ku Klux Klan during the 1970s.
Biography[]
Waltre Breachway was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He became a white supremacist after he was shot and wounded by some blacks who went on to rape his wife, and the perpetrators were never arrested; he went on to join the Klan and become the head of its Colorado Springs klavern. In 1979, he placed an ad in the local newspaper advertising membership in the Klan, and African-American policeman Ron Stallworth posed as a white man in order to join the chapter via telephone. Fellow policeman Flip Zimmerman stood in for Stallworth at a meeting with Breachway, being taken to Breachway by radicalized Klansman Felix Kendrickson. Stallworth and Zimmerman cultivated their relationships with the Klan, which they were able to infiltrate; later that year, they stopped the Klan from bombing a civil rights rally.
