Walid ibn Utbah (died 624) was the son of Utbah ibn Rabi'ah and the brother of Hind bint Utbah. Walid was also a brave knight, his father, and his uncle Shaybah ibn Rabi'ah were slain at the Battle of Badr in 624, with Walid being killed by Ali.
Biography[]
Al Walid was born in Mecca into a well-known clan, the banu abshams. His father is Uthbah one of the leaders of Mecca. When the prophet Mohammad began to invite people to monotheism, al Walid like his family was opposed to the prohet. In 624, aged 50 , he participated in the Battle of Badr alongside his uncle Shaybah and his father Uthbah. So he was killed by Ali bin Abu Talib.
