
Wali Sulayman of Karbala (2 April 738-) was the Court Imam of the Abbasid Caliphate under Caliph al-Mansur.
Biography[]
Sulayman was born on 2 April 738 to a family of lowborn Sunni Muslim Bedouin in present-day Iraq. He had good economic skills, but he was a brilliant man with skills in learning. Due to his learning skills, he was appointed as Court Imam of the Abbasid Caliphate, the second-highest religious office behind Caliph al-Mansur himself.
