Wahibre Ibiau (died 1701 BC) was Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt from 1712 to 1701 BC, succeeding Sobekhotep VI and preceding Merneferre Ay.
Biography[]
Wahibre served as vizier of Ancient Egypt under Pharaoh Sobekhotep VI before succeeding the latter as ruler on his death in 1712 BC. In 1708 BC, a seven-year famine began in Egypt, but Wahibre's viceroy Joseph oversaw the distribution of supplies for famine relief, buying grain from Canaan in 1707 BC and bringing his family with him on his return to Egypt in 1706 BC. Wahibre died in 1701 BC.
