
Wabil Harb (1954-18 October 1977) was a Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine terrorist who was one of the hijackers of Lufthansa Flight 181.
Biography[]
Wabil Harb was born in 1954, and he joined the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist group. Harb, Zohair Youssif Akache, Suhaila Sayeh, and Hind Alameh hijacked Lufthansa Flight 181 on 13 October 1977 as it left Athens for Rome, and the plane would later be redirected to Mogadishu, Somalia after many stopovers. There, West Germany's GSG-9 special forces assaulted the plane on 18 October, and Harb and Alameh were both killed instantly by the commandoes during their assault on the plane, while Akache would die of injuries and Alameh would be wounded and captured.
