Vipsania Agrippina (36 BC-20 AD) was the first wife of the Roman emperor Tiberius and the daughter of Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa.
Biography[]
Vipsania Agrippina was the daughter of Octavian's trusted general Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa, and her father and Augustus betrothed her to Augustus' stepson Tiberius before her first birthday. They were married in 19 BC, and their son Drusus Julius Caesar was born in 14 BC. After her father died in 12 BC, she was forced to divorce her husband, who married Vipsania's stepmother Julia the Elder, Augustus' daughter; Augustus sought for Tiberius to become his new heir. Tiberius loved Vipsania, but he was ultimately forced to marry her. She died in 20 AD.
