Violet Lee (died 1878) was an American farmer who lived in Savannah, Georgia during the 1870s. The mother of four sons and the aunt of Richard Lee, she lost two of her sons when Richard killed them for murdering his Black girlfriend. In 1878, the California crime boss Happy Jack kidnapped Lee and Wang Chao and sent them to Georgia to face the justice of the Lee family, who intended to hang Lee from a tree in Savannah and enslave Chao. However, the two captives teamed up to escape, killing the three of Richard Lee's relatives.
