Biography[]
Violant (or Yolanda in her language) was born in 1273, the daughter of Pere III of Aragon and the sister of Jaume II of Aragon. She was from the Catholic Catalan House of Barcelona, and on 23 March 1297 Robert of Naples married her in exchange for Jaume giving up control of Sicily to him.
