Vinnytsia Oblast is an oblast of Ukraine, with Vinnytsia serving as its capital. The oblast was established on 27 February 1932, and the region was divided between the German Reichskommissariat Ukraine and Romania during the Axis occupation of the Ukrainian SSR during World War II. Vinnytsia is home to several industries, notably thermal power, brown coal, and bauxite. In 2015, Vinnytsia Oblast had a population of 1,610,573 people.
