Vincent Mathews (29 June 1766-23 August 1846) was a member of the US House of Representatives (F-NY 14) from 1809 to 1811, succeeding John Russell and preceding Daniel Avery.

Biography[]

Vincent Mathews was born in Blooming Grove, Orange County, New York in 1766, and he was the nephew of Mayor David Mathews. He became a lawyer in New York City in 1790 and practiced law in Elmira, serving in the State House from 1794 to 1795, in the State Senate from 1796 to 1803, and in the US House of Representatives from 1809 to 1811. He died in 1846.
