Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon (24 August 1945-) was an American professional wrestling promoter and businessman. Born in Pinehurst, North Carolina, he was the son of a wrestling promoter, and he joined his father at World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) after his college graduation in 1968 and assumed control of the company in 1982. He oversaw the monopolization of the industry and the development of the annual WrestleMania, and, in 2001, he purchased the WWE's main competitor, World Championship Wrestling (WCW). During this time, he was also broadcast color commentator and chief broadcaster, serving until 1997.

McMahon and his wife Linda Edwards were prominent Republican donors, donating $5 million to the Trump Foundation and supporting Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election, despite having an apparent feud with Trump in January 2007. His wife later went on to join his administration.
