The Viloma Refinery raid occurred in 2019 when American special forces raided the Viloma Refinery and attempted to force Via-B Gas CEO Mauricio Valladares to sever his company's ties with the Santa Blanca Cartel.

The Santa Blanca Cartel used Via-B Gas as a front to import precursor chemicals into Libertad, where the scientist Marcus Jensen supervised their utilization to produce cocaine. Major Anthony Perryman and his Ghost Recon team came to Via-B Gas' Viloma Refinery to persuade Via-B Gas' CEO to sever his ties to the cartel, although their arrival was complicated by their interference in attempting to prevent a Unidad atrocity against civilians. After killing several Unidad soldiers and hiding from their reinforcements, Perryman approached Valladares and attempted to persuade him to cut his ties to the cartel, but he refused, confident in the cartel's ability to protect his business. In response, Perryman and his team went to each of Via-B Gas' oil wells in Libertad and shut them down, and Perryman returned to Valladares that night and informed him that the cartel had, indeed, failed to protect his business. Valladares reluctantly agreed to sever his ties to the cartel, while aware that the cartel would likely send men to kill him in retribution.
