The Villa Verde communication relay raid occurred in 2019 when American special forces raided a communication relay used by the Santa Blanca Cartel.
Major Anthony Perryman and his Ghost Recon team attacked the relay and the neighboring outpost in search of intelligence on Pedro Gil's pyrolusite mining operation in Villa Verde Province. Perryman and his team attacked the base at night, using silencers to take out sleeping guards before breaching the communications tower with grenades and clearing it of narcos. Perryman proceeded to shut down the tower and gather intelligence about the miner's union leader Esteban Chango, whom the Americans sought to cultivate as an ally.
