Vicky Hartzler

Vicky Hartzler (13 October 1960-) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-MO 4) from 3 January 2011 to 3 January 2023, succeeding Ike Skelton and preceding Mark Alford.

Biography[]

Vicky Hartzler was born in Archie, Missouri in 1960, and she taught high school home economics before serving in the State House of Representatives from 1995 to 2000. She was a social conservative activist in the years between her State House and US Congress tenures; she was elected to the US House of Representatives in 2010. She served as a member of the Republican Party, and she retired in 2022 to run for US Senate.
