
Vicente Ramon Roca Rodriguez (2 September 1792-23 February 1858) was President of Ecuador from 8 December 1845 to 15 October 1849, succeeding Jose Joaquin de Olmedo and preceding Manuel de Ascasubi.
Biography[]
Vicente Ramon Roca was born in Guayaquil, Real Audiencia of Quito, Spanish Empire in 1792. He worked as a merchant before becoming involved in the Ecuadorian War of Independence and serving as administrator of Guayaquil's municipal revenues under Gran Colombian rule. He was one of the leaders of the Marcista Revolution against Juan Jose Flores' conservative regime in 1845, and he served as President from 1845 to 1849. He died in 1858.
