Viani Barzini

Viani Barzini was the owner of the Va Va Voom Room in Little Italy, New York City and a niece of Barzini crime family boss Emilio Barzini.

Biography[]

Viani Barzini was the daughter of Ettore Barzini and the sister of Eduardo Barzini, and she came to own the famous Va Va Voom Room nightclub on Duanne Street and West Street in Little Italy, New York City. She developed an attraction to Corleone crime family enforcer Monk Malone, who frequented her club. In December 1945, Corleone enforcer Aldo Trapani forced Barzini to pay the Corleones protection money, and Barzini became a Corleone associate. In 1950, she would give Malone protection after he turned states against his family, and Malone was killed in a shootout at the club that same year.
