Veronica O'Leary

Veronica O'Leary (born 1967) was a British historian and DedSec operative who lived in London during the 2020s.

Biography[]

Veronica O'Leary was born in Coleraine, Northern Ireland in 1967. She worked as a cryptographer and a historian, and she came to make £29,800 a year. She participated in a goods trading group, collected semi-precious gemstones, and was a member of an anti-vaccination group. She joined DedSec after they helped save her neighborhood from demolition, and, in 2020, London DedSec chief Sabine Brandt chose O'Leary to help her reboot DedSec, as she had the ability to speed up downloads, a critical skill needed in order for DedSec to launch their cyber revolution against the Albion police state. Her first recruit was Jack Hermosilla, a weapons analyst who sought her help in foiling a Clan Kelley arms deal. Before setting out to do so, she stealthily beat down the Albion guard Dave Imani at a checkpoint near Parliament Square, stealing his gun. Just before arriving at the arms deal in Spitalfields Market, she spoke with George Sharma and Caroline Buckingham, hoping to recruit them and add their weapons to DedSec's arsenal. O'Leary then travelled into the market, climbing up a pipe and proceeding to engage in a massive shootout with Clan Kelley. She killed all of the criminals before blowing up the van and escaping the area, succeeding in recruiting Hermosilla.

As her cell's numbers multiplied exponentially, O'Leary worked with Brandt to sabotage Albion's standing in Camden, taking down Albion propaganda and infiltrating the Royal Courts of Justice to steal Albion's info on DedSec dissidents. She then met with the journalist Amal Reddy in Camden Town, and Reddy gave her information on Albion's operations in London and recommended that she attack Albion's main Camden base at King's Cross Station to severely hamstring Albion's operations in the city. She agreed, and she contacted Caroline Buckingham for the job.
