
Velit Ulusoy (1 June 1877-25 December 1920) was a diplomat of the Ottoman Empire who was murdered in Operation Nemesis.
Biography[]
Velit Ulusoy was born on 1 June 1877 in Kirikkale, Turkey, Ottoman Empire to a family of Sunni Turks. Ulusoy became a diplomat and was sent to the Berlin embassy in the German Empire during World War I. Ulusoy had a very small role in the Empire's decisions during the war, but the Armenian Revolutionary Federation wanted blood in revenge for the Armenian Genocide, and he was on the hit list of Hrayr Kezerian's assassination team. Ulusoy worked for a Turkish-language newspaper in Berlin, so it was easy for Kezerian to track him dow. Ulusoy was killed when a bomb exploded in his office as he entered the room.
