Valentine B. Horton

Valentine Baxter Horton (29 January 1802 – 14 January 1888) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-OH 11) 4 March 1855 to 3 March 1859 (succeeding Thomas Ritchey and preceding Charles D. Martin) and from 4 March 1861 to 3 March 1863 (succeeding Martin and preceding Wells A. Hutchins).

Biography[]

Valentine Baxter Horton was born in Windsor, Vermont in 1802, and he became a lawyer in Pittsburgh in 1830 before moving to Cincinnati in 1833 and to Pomeroy, Ohio in 1835. He went on to serve in the US House of Representatives from 1855 to 1859 and from 1861 to 1863, and he died in 1888.
