Valdar (668-729) was the jarl of Svibjod from 700 to 729, succeeding Olof Tratalja and preceding Randver. Valdar was the son of Olaf, and he was the father of Randver and Ingild Valdarsdottir, with his daughter marrying Harald Wartooth, who was a fearsome young warrior during Valdar's late years. Valdar died in 729, and Randver succeeded him as Jarl of Svibjod.
