
Uriel Holmes (26 August 1764-18 May 1827) was a member of the US House of Representatives (F-CN) from 4 March 1817 to 16 November 1818, succeeding Epaphroditus Champion and preceding Sylvester Gilbert.
Biography[]
Uriel Holmes was born in East Haddam, Connecticut in 1764, and he was raised in Hartland. He practiced law in Litchfield before serving in the state house from 1803 to 1805, as Litchfield County prosecuting attorney from 1807 to 1814, and in the US House of Representatives from 1817 to 1818. He died in Canton in 1827.
