Uptown Manhattan

Uptown Manhattan is the most northerly region of Manhattan, New York City, consisting of the neighborhoods north of the Upper East Side and Upper West Side. Spanish Harlem, Harlem, Washington Heights, and Inwood are infamous as crime-ridden areas with high gang presence, while the UES, UWS, Yorkville, and Morningside Heights are known as upper-class areas. The George Washington Bridge links Uptown to Fort Lee, New Jersey, while the Alexander Hamilton Bridge links Uptown to Morris Heights, The Bronx.
