The United Opposition was a reactionary political party in Hungary that was active from 1878 to 1905. The party was founded by defectors from the Deak Party, and it supported good relations with Austria, the intact maintenance of the rights granted to the nation in 1867, the remedy of financial problems, and the modern reform of public administration. In 1900, the party merged into the Liberal Party of Hungary, but it was refounded as a splintergroup in 1903. In 1905, this group merged into the Party of Independence and '48.
