The Union of the Center (UdC) is a Christian democratic and centrist political party in Italy that was founded in 1993. The first incarnation of the party was founded in 1993 as a successor of the Italian Liberal Party, including Liberals and members of the Italian Republican Party, the Italian Democratic Socialist Party, and the Christian Democracy of Italy party. The party joined the conservative Forza Italia party in 1998, but a new incarnation of the party was established on 6 December 2002, becoming a minor political party.
