The Union for the New Republic (UNR) was a Gaullist political party in France that was active from 1958 to 1967. The party was founded to support Charles de Gaulle in the 1958 elections, and the party won slightly less than an absolute majority in 1962, remaining in government with the assistance of the Independent Republicans. In 1968, the party was renamed to the Union of Democrats for the Republic.
