The Union for Homeland is a centrist political party in Libya that was founded by Abdulrahman Asswehly in 2012. The party proposed a semi-presidential system modelled after that of France, and it favored decentralization of power on a local level, while opposing federalism. The party also sought to ban former officials of the Muammar Gaddafi regime from wielding political influence in the aftermath of the Libyan Civil War.
