
Umay (2 January 1340-13 May 1357) was a Turkish scullery maid in the service of the Ottoman regent Suleyman Pasha. On 7 January 1356, Suleyman - who was attracted to Umay due to her large breasts - decided to make her his mistress. On 8 October 1356, she bore him a child, Berkiyaruk Suleymanoglu. She died in 1357 after a period of illness.
