Ultranationalism is an extreme nationalism that promotes the interest of one state or people above all others, or extreme devotion to one's own nation. Ultranationalism combined with the idea of national rebirth is a key foundation of fascism. In its most extreme or developed form, it is fascism, and it can use physical anthropology, genetics, and eugenics to rationalize ideas of national superiority and destiny.
