Ulick Brady

Ulick Brady was an Anglo-Irish gentleman who lived in Brady Town, Ireland during the 1750s. In 1759, he and his brother Mick Brady chaperoned their cousin Nora Brady as she courted Captain John Quin. When their cousin Redmond Barry fought with Quin over Nora's affections, Ulick and Mick arranged for a duel in which Quin faked his death, thus forcing Barry to flee to Dublin rather than be arrested for murder. Quin went on to marry Nora while Lyndon reinvented himself as an aristocrat in England.
