US 10th Infantry Regiment

The 10th Infantry Regiment is a US Army infantry regiment which was raised in Carlisle, Pennsylvania in April 1855. The regiment was commanded by Colonel Edmund Brooke Alexander during the Utah War, the American Civil War (during which it distinguished itself at the Battle of Antietam), and the American Indian Wars, and it went on to serve in the Spanish-American War, the Philippine-American War, and in the Western European campaign of World War II.
