USS Brock

USS Brock was a US Navy high-speed transport in commission from 1945 to 1947. The ship was built in Charleston, laid down on 27 October 1943, and launched on 20 January 1944; she was named for a Battle of Midway casualty. The ship served as a destroyer escort and was deployed to the Pacific theater, conducting local patrols in the Philippines at the end of World War II. The ship was decommissioned on 5 May 1947 and sold to Colombia in January 1962 for use as a floating power plant.
