Tyler Regis Lloyd (1935-2014) was a MACV-SOG captain during the Vietnam War.
Biography[]
Tyler Regis Lloyd was born in Glen Burnie, Maryland in 1935, and he joined the US Army Green Berets in 1953. Lloyd was sent on many classified missions during the Cold War, and he was one of the first American advisers sent to South Vietnam to help with training its military. During the Vietnam War, he served in MACV-SOG and took part in many special operations, including Operation Doubletap in 1969. Lloyd retired from the special forces after the war's end, and he died in 2014.
