Two Crows

Two Crows was a rock outcropping in Otero County, New Mexico, located 12 miles east of Alamogordo, and within the unincorporated community of Cloudcroft. A brick building was erected on the ridge, and it was occasionally the site of shootouts between the law and outlaws from the 1890s to the 1910s; it was the site of Ace Burr's death in a shootout with the Arizona Kid and Little Pete in 1898. US Marshal Leigh Johnson once killed the entire "Two Crows Boys" gang, but the ridge continued to attract outlaws in search of a hideout.
