The Tuvan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic was an autonomous republic of the Russian SFSR that existed from 10 October 1961 to 31 March 1992, with Kyzyl serving as its capital. The republic was created from the Tuvan Autonomous Oblast, and the republic became the Republic of Tuva in 1992.
