The Tutsis are an ethnic group in Rwanda, Burundi, and the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. 2,500,000 live in Rwanda and Burundi, and they make up the second-largest population group in Rwanda, with the Hutus outnumbering them. As many as 1,070,000 Tutsis were killed during the Rwandan Genocide in just 100 days, meaning that 10,710 were killed per day, 447 per hour, and 7 per minute. Since then, the Tutsis have been the rulers of Rwanda, with many of the Hutus fleeing to the neighboring Congo and resisting the Rwandan Army.
