Tungus McClaugherty was an Irish criminal who lived in the Five Points of Manhattan during the 1860s. In 1864, detective Kevin Corcoran interrogated him about his alleged theft of his missing wife Ellen's locket, but McClaugherty denied murdering Corcoran's daughter Maggie, kidnapping Ellen, or stealing the locket.
