The True Yaran Party was a far-right political party in Yara that existed from 2019 to 2021. The party was founded by Anton Castillo and was modeled after his father Gabriel Castillo's Leones de Yara movement, a pro-United States and staunchly anti-communist political party that ruled over Yara from 1957 to 1967. Castillo was elected President of Yara in 2019 on a platform of restoring his country to its former glory, and he was aided by the propagandist Maria Marquessa, who promoted Castillo's views, demonized the country's communist revolutionary movements, and ran the "True Yaran Academy" to brainwash "Fake Yarans" (political and social undesirables) into supporting the regime. The party was overthrown by left-wing guerrillas in the Yaran Revolution of 2021.
