Trocmi

The Trocmi were one of three ancient tribes of Galatia, alongside the Tolistobogii and Tectosages. The were a Celtic tribe, and they moved from Macedonia to Asia Minor in the early third century BC. In 189 BC, the tribe was defeated by the Roman consul Gnaeus Manlius Vulso during the Galatian War, and they later allied with the Romans; Mithridates I of the Bosporus, a Roman client king, was a Trocmi tetrarch.
