The Triborough Bridge ambush occurred during the spring of 2008, when The Lost MC and Uptown Riders ambushed a convoy of Angels of Death vehicles on the Triborough Bridge over Ward's Island and stole a truck full of heroin. Several AOD bikers were killed in the ambush.
Background[]
The Angels of Death outlaw motorcycle club trafficked guns and drugs in New York City during the 2000s, with its main focus being on the heroin industry. By 2008, they had bribed a guard at the tollbooth to allow for them to move vans full of heroin into The Bronx, and Bronx drug kingpin Elizabeta Torres grew tired of the Angels of Death thinking that they could move into her territory with their trucks. Torres decided to recruit The Lost MC president Johnny Klebitz and Uptown Riders president Malc Jackson to ambush the convoy and teach the Angels of Death a lesson; The Lost MC and the AOD were already at war, making it a good deal for The Lost. Klebitz and some Uptown Riders bikers drove to the bridge in a four-door car, and they forced the tollbooth driver to leave his booth; this allowed for a driver to drive his pregnant wife to the hospital in Manhattan, with Jackson saying that it was complementary. The Lost and Uptown Riders bikers took up ambush positions, and Klebitz called his friends Terry Thorpe and Clay Simons to reinforce them.
Ambush[]
The Lost MC and Uptown Riders bikers fired on the convoy of Angels of Death vehicles as it approached the toll station, and a massive shootout erupted. The NYPD was called to respond to the scene, and a three-way shootout began. Johnny Klebitz used an RPG-7 to blow up the Angels of Death escort vehicles, and he assisted the other bikers in gunning down the individual AOD bikers that survived the explosions. After all of the AOD bikers were killed, Klebitz entered the AOD van, which contained a large heroin shipment. He proceeded to pick up Malc Jackson, and the two drove the van to an Uptown Riders garage, where it was stored. The drugs would be stashed there, and they would be used in a failed drug deal with Diontray Carson and Latresia Flowers, which ended with an NYPD ambush.
