Toshimitsu Saito (died 1582) was an Akechi general who fought and died in the Battle of Yamazaki.
Biography[]
Toshimitsu Saito was born in Mino Province to the ruling Saito clan, but when the province submitted to the Oda, he became an officer in the Oda Army. He was a retainer of Ittetsu Inaba while under the Oda. In 1582, as a retainer to Mitsuhide Akechi, he rebelled alongside him. Toshimitsu was killed by Hideyoshi Hashiba at the Battle of Yamazaki like the rest of Akechi's army.
