Toru Onisaka

Toru Onisaka was a Japanese street racer and one of the founders of the Devil Killers street gang of Fukuoka.

Biography[]

Toru Onisaka was born in Fukuoka, Japan, and he became a street racer during the 1980s, befriending Yotaro Nakajima and Eitatsu Furumichi and becoming known as one of the "Three Musketeers" of Fukuoka street racing. He was originally the third-best of the Three Musketeers before training to beat the best racer Yotaro Nakajima. However, Nakajima retired in 1992 after his wife was hospitalized in a car crash, causing the two former friends to fall out, as Onisaka demanded that he race Nakajima to settle their rivalry once and for all. In December 2012, he forced the Devil Killers to disband so that he could challenge their rival, Kazuma Kiryu, to a race in Nakajima's stead. While Onisaka beat Kiryu the first time, Kiryu upgraded his car and, during his second race with Onisaka, he defeated the racing legend. Nakajima arrived to witness the race, and, on explaining to Onisaka the circumstances surrounding his retirement, the two friends were reconciled and embraced. They then joined Furumichi and Nakajima's Nakasu Taxi employees for drinks to celebrate their friendly reunion, their rivalries settled.
