Tony Rosato's family

Tony Rosato's family was a rogue faction of the Corleone crime family that emerged in 1959 as the result of Corleone caporegime Tony Rosato's feud with Corleone street boss Frank Pentangeli. Tony and his brother Carmine Rosato formed their own splintergroups after Pentangeli welched on Peter Clemenza's promise to grant them three territories in The Bronx after his death, and Tony Rosato's family took over six businesses in Miami, Florida, while Carmine took over New York City. In 1959, following Carmine's death and Dominic Corleone's move to Miami, Dominic and his Trapani crime family waged war on Rosato's faction, which was ill-organized, unlike the mutual enemy of the Trapanis and Rosato, the Granados crime family, which also waged war on Rosato. After all of Tony Rosato's businesses were taken over by the Trapanis, Dominic Corleone bombed Tony Rosato's compound and killed Rosato himself, eliminating the family.
