Tony Dobkin (1833-1880) was a British Army veteran who served as the head of the Australian ranch owner Elliott Marston's security detail during the late 19th century. Dobkin was effectively Marston's right-hand man during his vendetta with the American hired gun Matthew Quigley, and he succeeded in briefly capturing Quigley, bringing him back to the Marston Waters ranch to be presented before Marston, and preparing him for a final shootout at Marston's request, which ultimately resulted in Quigley killing Marston, Dobkin, and Ben O'Flynn in quick succession.
Biography[]

Dobkin in 1880
Tony Dobkin was born in 1833, and he served in the British Army in Australia before being hired as the supervisor of the landowner Elliott Marston's security detail in 1868. Dobkin was no-nonsense, working at the ranch for twelve years and being known for his cold demeanor. In 1880, after Marston began a vendetta against the American hired gun Matthew Quigley (who had violently rejected his employment as a genocidaire against the Aborigines), Dobkin was sent to gather as many men as possible to take part in the hunt for Quigley. He was later one of Marston's last employees, succeeding in capturing Quigley with the help of Ben O'Flynn before bringing the captured Quigley back to the ranch for Marston to confront. Marston had the guards cut Quigley free and allow him to partake in a final quickdraw with him in order to show off his own quickdraw skills against the wounded marksman, but Quigley proved just as able with a Colt 1860 Army revolver, shooting Marston, Dobkin, and O'Flynn in quick succession.
