Tony Bianchi (1896-December 1945) was a caporegime of the Tattaglia crime family. Bianchi was a close friend of Philip Tattaglia, and he was murdered by the Corleone crime family in 1945 to prevent the Tattaglias from avenging Donnie Marinelli's death.
Biography[]
Tony Bianchi was born in Brooklyn, New York City in 1896 to a family of Italian descent, and he was an early lieutenant of Don Philip Tattaglia, boss of the Tattaglia crime family, whom he grew up with. He became one of Tattaglia's caporegimes, and he took more than a professional interest in prostitution, maintaining the Tattaglia family's control of the Brooklyn prostitution rackets.

Bianchi's death
Following their murder of Tattaglia soldier Donnie Marinelli, the Corleone crime family feared vengeance, so Corleone caporegime Salvatore Tessio sanctioned Bianchi's death. Bianchi was making time with prostitute Aideen Gavin at the St. Sebastian Hotel, so hitman Aldo Trapani stealthily eliminated his guards before garroting Bianchi to death. His death greatly weakened the Tattaglias, who had just lost their control of Brooklyn as a result of the Tattaglia Compound bombing. In 1955, Philip Tattaglia would meet his end in the same hotel as his childhood friend.
