Tomomi Maebara (born 1966) was a member of the Tojo-kai yakuza clan in Tokyo during the 1980s. On 12 December 1988, he reported to his boss Kinji Wakuni that he was unable to find out any information on the whereabouts of Tachibana Real Estate, as Tetsu Tachibana had bribed all of the family's informants into staying quiet about him. Wakuni responded by telling Maebara to hit up the shops which Tachibana had taken over and find more information.
