Tom Rice (4 August 1957-) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-SC 7) from 3 January 2013 to 3 January 2023.
Biography[]
Tom Rice was born in Charleston, South Carolina in 1957, and he worked at an accounting/consulting firm in Charlotte, North Carolina before becoming a lawyer. In 2010, he was elected Chair of the Horry City Council, and he was elected to the US House of Representatives in 2012 as a Republican Party member. On 13 January 2021, he was one of only 10 Republicans to vote in favor of Trump's second impeachment, following the 2021 United States coup d'etat attempt. He was defeated for renomination in 2022.
