Death[]

Goldberg after being shot
After Lacasa's murder, McReary had Bellic sign up for an interview with the GLS law firm in order to get one-on-one with Goldberg in his office, where he could kill him. Bellic pretended to have been a peacekeeper in the Balkans and a merchant mariner, among other things, and Goldberg decided to meet him at 12:00 PM on a Friday. Bellic entered the GLS building and was shown to Goldberg's office by the receptionist Karen, and Goldberg and Bellic talked briefly, with Goldberg mentioning his feud with McReary and the murder of Lacasa. When Goldberg asked if Bellic could work with a team, Bellic said, "I work alone", and he stood up and pulled out a gun. He proceeded to shoot Goldberg in the head, executing him, leading to the GLS Building shootout.
