Tomás de Corrales (1549-May 1600) was the Spanish mayor of Winststad during the Dutch Revolt. In May 1600, he was appointed the new Governor of San Juan with the goal of bringing about economic prosperity in Puerto Rico, but, as he left Winststad aboard the sloop La Perla Negra, he was attacked by the Dutch privateer Jan Alen. He was killed in the ensuing battle, with the Dutch looting 320 gold pieces from the ship.
